A lightweight, transportable cellular network that can be deployed in minutes

Richmond, Canada, February 25, 2015 – Star Solutions will showcase its IMPAC System, a complete LTE Network in a backpackable form factor, at this year’s GSMA Mobile World Congress on March 2-5 in Barcelona. Star Solutions’ booth will be located in Hall 7 at Stand 7H40. The IMPAC System is a fully stand-alone solution that enables a LTE network to be operational within minutes. It combines LTE EPC and eNodeB in a compact rugged, IP67 enclosure for quick and easy installation.

“The IMPAC System’s lightweight, portable, and battery-operated features make it an excellent solution for industries such as emergency response, disaster recovery, military, oil and gas, or as emergency backup communications for mobile operators,” said Jack Mar, CEO of Star Solutions. “Its single ON/OFF switch operation relieves pressure from the field personnel in an often stressful situation where rapid deployable networks are necessary.”

The unit can be powered by 10 – 36 VDC source, including vehicle cigarette lighter sockets or slave adaptors for military vehicles. An optional battery pack is available that can provide up to 6 hours of operation on a single charge.

The LTE IMPAC System is the latest evolution of Star Solutions’ experience and innovation in the industry. The combination of product design, ease of use and technical capabilities makes the IMPAC System an ideal system for any deployable operation. The IMPAC System is also available for GSM or CDMA technologies.
