Star Solutions offers picocell base stations for operators looking to provide radio resources in-building or for campus-wide coverage solutions. There are two picocell base station models: the iCell® Enterprise Pico IP-RAN and standard iCell® Pico IP-RAN.

The iCell® Pico IP Base Station is an optimal solution for operators to provide in-building or campus-wide coverage. Based on a 1U, compact design as a rack-mount chassis and in a notebook form factor for wall-mount deployment, the base station provides high capacity in a very small package. The iCell Pico IP Base Station supports either CDMA2000® 1XRTT or EV-DO Rev-A voice and high-speed packet data and ensures optimal cellular coverage in areas previously not covered adequately by wireless networks.
Other applications enabled by the Pico IP-RAN include maritime wireless communications onboard cruise ships, ferries and other marine vessels.

The Star Solutions iCell® Enterprise Pico IP-RAN is designed to provide CDMA2000® 1X wireless coverage for small-coverage areas such as in-building office/enterprise environments. It provides single-carrier, single-sector coverage with a 32 channel-element capacity. Built-in support for BSC/PCF functions is enabled.
Deployed in conjunction with the Sonata® SE MSC platform or the iCell® S-RAN System the iCell Enterprise Pico is a cost-effective solution for delivering targeted coverage and capacity for enterprise networks.
